Michigan Beer Cup Logo Competition
The Michigan Beer Cup is pleased to announce a logo design competition. This competition is open to all
Michigan residents. Due to the recent separation from the Michigan State Fair, a new logo is needed to
represent the Michigan Beer Cup Homebrew competition. The logo will be used as part of our awards,
website and general advertisement. All entries submitted will become the property of Michigan Beer
Cup. The top three entries will be recognized and presented their prizes at the 2010 awards ceremony.
Prizes for the competition include:
* First prize: $50.00
* Second prize: $30.00
* Third prize: $20.00
Deadline for receiving entries:
Date: Monday June 15, 2010.
NOTE: All Entries should be emailed to:brewfestorg@gmail.com. The subject should be labeled “Logo
Competition” and the body of the email should contain the following information; Name, Mailing
Address and phone number.
Submission details:
* Entries should be submitted via email.
* Art work should present well in a printed format and on web based media.
* All submissions should be saved in a common format such as EPS, PNG, PSD or PDF. A high resolution
PDF file should also be sent for review.
* Entries should include a design with no identifying designer marks or affiliation.
* Designer identification should be included with the entry but should not be on the entry.
* Designer identification should include the designer’s name, mailing address, email address, and
telephone number.
* All entries will be acknowledged upon receipt.
* All entries will become the property of the Michigan Beer Cup.
* Entries will not be returned.
* Entries must be original art works.
Judging details:
* Identification will be removed from each entry.
* A team of Representatives will screen the anonymous entries and select the top designs.
* The Michigan Beer Cup committee will make the final selections from the anonymous entries.
* Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, where the winning logo will be presented.
About Michigan Beer Cup:
The Michigan Beer Cup is a state wide homebrew competition, which promotes brewing though
education and competition. This competition was founded in 2010, by a board of individuals, club
representatives and store owners throughout the state of Michigan with the goal to preserve the spirit
of the Michigan State Fair Homebrew completion. The Michigan Beer Cup wishes to continue and build
on the traditions of the Michigan State Fair Homebrew, by maintaining and growing one of the largest
single state competitions in the country.
